Students explored physical and chemical properties and physical and chemical changes (Science goal 5.P.2.2) using the following experiments:
*Physical properties of a cookie: Students observed the properties of their cookie, such as color, texture, shape, and state of matter
*Oobleck: see these directions (physical change - state of matter)
*Wooly booger: see these directions (chemical change - heat released, color change, rust)
*elephant toothpaste: I shared this video
A little messy, but the students loved it and were able to identify physical and chemical changes.
